Dreams Come and Go

Dreams come and go
I watch mine pass by
With the speed of the blinking eye
Of a blind man

Alas, she said, we come and go
We always return, we never leave
We are always
Constantly alone

I remember that touching her
Was always for the last time
But it’s never been this cold outside
She’s never been this cold

And when hope squandered
I knew what to do
I turned to her –
Now what do I do?

Should death ring, I will answer
We’re but a moment
That need not linger without dreams
In the middle of roads

However tears may dry
My eyes will always see
How her magic came to life
When she smiled at me

Such fragile threads hold me up
Whilst everything else is lost
And I am lost within her
Like a dream is lost in me
