Longing For Air

I will have seen you maybe once, maybe twice
But I will have dreamt about you more than a hundred times
In red and black and shapes covering your body
Hiding art from art

I will have wanted to leave everything for you
My nameless passions released from the burden of mediocrity
Lifeless sparks without a chance to prove
That anything else sufficed

I will have taken on roads without signs, without maps
I will have found you there and everywhere without compromise
Only to touch your trembling waist
In warming light

And all of this tomorrow.
