Imi aduc aminte cum, la Barcelona, din douazeci de zile, doua nu ai putut sa stai cu mine, trei ai fost bolnava, si patru ai fost la ciclu.

Si nu pot sa uit cum am carat impreuna geamantanele, cum ti-am adus in pat bucatele de paine prajita cu Camembert sau cum au fost primele zile dupa ciclu.

Mai tin minte mirosul din holul cladirii, pana de curent, cum canta cineva in apartamentul de sub noi la un instrument pe care nu pot sa-l identific nici acum.

A trecut mult timp de atunci, iar eu acum privesc lumea din afara, cautand toate acele lucruri in diminetile limpezi si noaptea tarziu, cand se trezesc florile de regina noptii.

Nu.

A parut usor ca un fulg. A fost ceva ce doar ea a inteles. Si faptul ca m-am simtit inteles atat de repede, fara nici o ezitare, fara nici un dubiu, mi-a trezit fiori. Iar apoi privirea scurta si mana pe genunchi, in timp ce eu ma uitam la ei in oglinda, ca si cum totul ar fi fost atat de normal. Patru oameni, doua minti ce nu au fost niciodata mai departate, si nici nu vor mai fi atat de apropiate. Iar ceea ce am fost surprins sa realizez, este ca frantura s-a produs de mult, fara ca eu sa fiu constient ca se poate intampla asa ceva.

Atunci a avut loc purificarea.
